The young lady who plays Anne is most certainly an accomplished actress. This is an example of some of the great work coming out of Canada. I don’t remember clearly seeing the American-ized version of Anne of Green Gables- but I think it was less edgy and more romanticized than this version. The character work is very engaging in this. This is something I think teenagers would enjoy as well as adults.
