I have vague recollections of Raymond Burr’s Perry but I ‘m not at all disappointed with the current version. Matthew Rhys does an outstanding job in the title role from inspector to lawyer. Juliette Rylance is also quite compelling as Della Street. Gayle Rankin also deserves special mention as the accused Emily Dodson. It is a terrible crime, but truth wins out in the end. I know there will be more seasons.
