This is a very good and thoughtful film for anyone in the “sandwich generation”. Love Helen Hunt, a very mature frazzled performance. Liev Schreiber has won my vote for this one too. I’m not totally convinced that every child should take care of a dying parent, there’s a lot of baggage… as is evident in this film. And of course it’s always a woman who shoulders the burden. Brian Dennehy is perfect as the dying dad. The two youngsters are very, very good.
