What an evening! This production of mainly black performers was about as perfect as one could hope. The songs are timeless and uplifting and extremely well performed. Great Ensemble work. The set is just gorgeous and very artful as well as functional. The dance sequences are inspiring. This musical has an undeniable spirit that has definitely stood the test of time. Upbeat. Go see.
